在什么地方用逗号?
这似乎是一个奇怪的问题,对吧? 不要在停顿的地方加逗号 在句子中? 不. 但如果你这么想,你并不孤单!
有 有很多规则 它们规定了何时何地使用逗号, but the two most fundamental rules are related to independent 和 dependent clauses. Before you can begin to underst和 where to use a comma, you first need to know the difference between independent 和 dependent clauses.
什么是独立从句和从属从句?
An independent clause is a part of a sentence that contains a subject 和 a verb 和 expresses a complete thought. 实际上,它是一个完整的句子.
卢克以为他是个孤儿.
- 谁是软件下载的主题? 路加福音
- 软件下载的实验对象做了什么? 认为
- 他在想什么? 他是个孤儿(这是重点)
You don’t need an object to have an independent clause or a complete sentence. “路加福音 thought” is a perfectly acceptable sentence, but it doesn’t tell the 读者 非常.
A dependent clause contains a subject 和 a verb, but does not express a complete thought. Dependent clauses are not complete sentences, 和 therefore cannot st和 alone.
因为他认为自己是个孤儿.
Even though we have all the components of a sentence here, we don’t have a complete sentence or an independent clause. This is because the statement doesn’t express a complete thought. The “because” at the beginning is throwing everything off!
“因为”被称为“依赖标记”.这些话要求 更多的信息 和 tell the 读者 that there is more to this sentence. When you add “because” to the beginning of a sentence, you automatically have a dependent clause.
其他相关标记包括after, 虽然, 之前, 即使, 为了…, 自, 除非, 直到, 当, 无论何时.
例子:
- 独立从句:路加福音 went on a journey.
- Dependent clause: When 路加福音 went on a journey, …
- 独立从句:路加福音遇到Ben.
- 从属从句:卢克遇到本之后,……
- Independent clause: Ben wasn’t fully honest with 路加福音.
- Dependent clause: Since Ben wasn’t fully honest with 路加福音, …
Now that you underst和 the difference between independent 和 dependent clauses, you’re 准备学习 逗号的两个基本规则:
1. You use a comma 当 you have two independent clauses separated by a conjunction:
例子: 卢克以为他是个孤儿,但他错了. A conjunction is a word that connects two clauses. Some popular conjunctions include 和, but, or, nor, so, yet, etc. When you use a conjunction to connect two independent clauses, 连词前要加逗号.
2. You also use a comma 当 you have a dependent clause that comes 之前 an independent clause in a sentence:
例子: Because he thought he was an orphan, 路加福音 was surprised to meet his father 和 twin sister.
These are only two of many reasons why you would use a comma in a sentence.
